Why pay more for healthcare services?
Nutanix offers medical plans through UnitedHealthcare and Kaiser Permanente. All benefit-eligible employees in the U.S. may choose to enroll in the UnitedHealthcare POS plan, and the Kaiser Permanente HMO is also available to full-time employees in California. We cover the cost of plan premiums for both you and your family at 100 percent, which means no payroll deductions are required for your healthcare coverage.
Both plan options have no annual deductible and are designed so you have no costs for covered services, as long you choose in-network providers. The key to unlocking your rich healthcare benefits is using your plan’s network of providers. Here’s how it works:
-
If you’re enrolled in the UnitedHealthcare POS plan: Your medical plan pays the full cost for all covered services — including office and specialist visits, preventive care, chiropractic and acupuncture, inpatient hospital services and more — if you receive care from in-network providers. Although you still have coverage if you go out of network, you are responsible for 40 percent of the cost for covered services after you meet the annual deductible ($6,000 individual/$12,000 family). As long as you choose in-network providers for covered services, you pay nothing for the healthcare services you receive.
-
If you’re enrolled in the Kaiser HMO plan (CA only): You have access to a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) — funded by Nutanix ($1,500 individual/$3,000 family) — that you can use to pay your out-of-pocket costs for eligible, in-plan benefits and services, like copays for office visits and prescriptions. Your medical plan, combined with the HRA, creates a complete plan that eliminates out-of-pocket expenses when you receive care from in-plan providers. Keep in mind, this plan offers no coverage for services received outside the Kaiser HMO network of providers.
It’s important to confirm that your provider is in your plan’s network before receiving care to avoid out-of-pocket expenses. Follow these steps to check your doctor’s network status or find an in-network provider near you.
